Partners

Below are the partner organisations that we are working with to support the algae community:

European Algae Biomass Association: EABA

The general objective of the European Algae Biomass Association (EABA) is to promote mutual interchange and cooperation in the field of biomass production and use, including biofuels uses and all other utilisations. It aims at creating, developing and maintaining solidarity and links between its Members and at defending their interests at European and international level. Its main target is to act as a catalyst for fostering synergies among scientists, industrialists and decision makers in order to promote the development of research, technology and industrial capacities in the field of algae.

The Industrial Biotechnology Innovation Centre (IBioIC)

The Industrial Biotechnology Innovation Centre (IBioIC) connects industry with academic expertise and government to accelerate and de-risk commercialisation, to bring new biotechnology processes and products to the global market. It does this by offering scale-up facilities, talent development, funding provision, networking opportunities and promotion of Scotland’s unique assets.

Seaweed for Europe Coalition:

Sustainable seaweed (macroalgae) is a very promising solution to produce more from the ocean, while protecting it and creating good jobs. Europe is perfectly positioned to lead the scale up of this regenerative industry, but currently faces system-level barriers, which Seaweed for Europe aims to address.
